Each Gourmet knife is stamped from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel, honed by hand, and hardened by the Friodur ice process, for maximum strength and stain-resistance. These knives boast a full tang, which is triple-riveted to a contoured handle made of Novadur polypropylene. This construction is impact-resistant, comfortable to hold, and durable. Complete with its own storage block, the set includes a 4-inch paring knife, a 5-inch serrated utility knife, a 6-inch utility knife, an 8-inch chef's knife, an 8-inch carving knife, and an 8-inch bread knife, as well as a meat fork and eight steak knives. A 9-inch steel for sharpening and a pair of kitchen shears are also included. The set is safe for the dishwasher, but washing by hand is recommended.
